Day 20: April 22, 2026
“I have an extra 25 pounds, probably a little bit more extra food. And there are so many unknowns on this expedition... For one, the break-up time... I've really got to be right on … But that's putting me overweight.“
Day 19: April 21, 2026
“These drifts from the prevailings are, you know, they're... 50 feet high. And they drift off over the hills. It's just quite beautiful, especially when the lighting is in the evening when it's kind of a bright white, whitish color in these blue shadows.“
Day 18: April 20, 2026
“Adventure has been the cold weather … You get what you get. You don't always get what you order. I don't order anything. I just take it as it comes.“
Day 17: April 19, 2026
“It was not as cold as the windstorm I had five days ago, where it was like 25, 30 below that night, and windy, real windy. But tonight was okay.“
Day 16: April 18, 2026
“You couldn't see the perspective in front of you... you couldn't see any snow drifts at all. I mean, these are all hardback drifts... you couldn't see that, but you could definitely feel it.“
Day 15: April 17, 2026
“There's these incredible patterns in the snow drifts from the high winds, all sorts of different silhouettes that catch the sun... it looked like a frozen ocean, like the waves had just totally froze.“
Day 14: April 16, 2026
“I can tell by the, you know, when you cut off butter or you try to bite it off. You can take part of your tooth with it.“
Day 13, April 15, 2026
“I think the batteries on my sat phone are freezing up... In fact, I might be talking to myself here on this phone.“
